The rattling sound of a rickshaw. The hustle and bustle of a marketplace. Two demons yapping about the bloodshed yesterday.  A drunkard with a peculiar scroll in his hand.  Hell indeed has a lot to be explored and messed around with.

Hel Blud is an extremely minimal RPG about demons in hell. You only use a single parameter for anything, and all you need is two six-sided dice. This makes the gameplay extremely accessible and flexible while keeping the players on track.

This game is part of a larger project I have been working on (which I hope is coming out soon). I made this business card-sized modification to show off its simplicity and have it hacked, reinterpreted, and cooked with other ingredients you might bring onto the table.

Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!

Hey! Nicely done, any chance on adding a print-friendly pdf?
Also game question. For uncertain action, you mention rolling 2d6 with 1 or 2 being a crit success and 5/6 being a fumble. Since there are no modifiers, getting a 1 is impossible and if a demon has e.g. 8 BP, a 5/6 that would be a success, is considered a failure? I am missing something? should the crit success be a 2 and a fumble a 12?

Hi there! I just added a BW file and a plain text version:)

Also, thank you for the clarification question. A crit is a roll that only contains 1 and/or 2, meaning that the chance of rolling it is 4/36 (11%) and so is a fumble (which is slightly higher than other RPGs). For example, if my 2d6 roll is 1 and 2, I get a crit success. If it were 2 and 3, it wouldn't be a crit because the roll contained 3.

Hope it helps!!
